Summary: We will not stay at Circus Circus again. First, you check in by kiosk. You are herded in like cattle. There is nothing personable about the check-in process. First impressions and connecting with staff are important and that check in was definitely not a great impression. Second, we get to our room, and there is food on the floor, pop on the walls as though someone threw a can against the wall, hair was all over the bathroom floor, and there was dirt all over the floor. Needless to say, they had one person I could talk you. They changed us rooms, but that room was also dirty. I had to mop the bathroom floor myself to get the hair up. I didn’t want to walk barefoot on the floor at all. Last, the water in the bathtub would not turn off all the way. We shut the bathroom door so it wouldn’t keep us up as it trickled down the drain all night long! So much for conserving water. There was a total of four very slow elevators for each section of the hotel with hundreds of people waiting. Waiting for the elevator was almost painful. Once you were lucky enough to catch one, everyone would cram in so tight that one girl commented, “I feel so claustrophobic”. Check out was by a QR code. Not a bad idea except it was on one small 8x11 paper with everyone trying to scan it at the same time. When we used the elevator for the car garage, the doors closed and the elevator did not move. We were stuck! I was ready to push the call button when the damn thing finally jerked and started to move. :(
