Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Property is in a good location for access by car to the city centre. Street parking is always available. There is a useful supermarket on the ground floor of the building complex. We’re a family of 5 staying Oct ‘25, and the apartment is large and felt secure. The balcony is large (but onto a busy road for traffic noise)

Negative: Overall the apartment is disappointing. The word ‘luxury’ should definitely not be in the title I’m sorry to say. It seems to be sub-let by a private holiday rental firm, and feels like it has a high turn-over of guests because everything is very tired and outdated now. The kitchen facilities in particular are outdated, and as we were staying with our children, it was not satisfactory for it to not be equipped with sufficient crockery and glasses (there were no bowls for example). Like the other negative reviews on here, the electrics tripped twice whilst trying to boil the kettle, and the only way to turn them back on is to go all the way down to the basement of the building complex to find the switch for the apartment. I tried to call the rental firm about the issue the second time but there was no answer. We rented the apartment for 3 nights as a family of 5, but the property only has 2 double beds and a sofa. We arrived very late on the first night and the sofa was not made up as a bed when we arrived - some bedding had been left for it to be put on and that was it. I can only assume the positive reviews are being very generous with the truth as to what they enjoyed about the apartment.
