Our home is located in the Montgomery Estates. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood with mostly locals that enjoy the Tahoe lifestyle. Walking distance to a popular hiking trail that has many streams and views.
I recommend using Lyft / Uber. Bike and walking/running is good too.

If you are traveling in the winter, you will need to make sure that you are equipped to drive up safely. If there is a snow storm, be mindful of possibly having to stay an extra day or arrive a day late per roads being closed.
